Puppet Building Process

Start with a sketch or idea... Create the head and add the features that make a great character.

They are covered in Muppet Fleece or a stretch terry fabric. Features are added and a body is created. Add arms and poseable hands along with legs and you are getting there. Create the character's outfit and you are off to the races. Now the challenge is developing a great character that can command attention. This takes time and imagination. I tell customers to have an idea of a character they want to develop before they purchase a dummy. Puppets typically cost between $350 - $1200 and takes up to 4 weeks.
